Approval of Comprehensive Guidance Plan: A motion was made by JoAnn Cowan to approve the Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling plans as presented. Shane Frost seconded the motion; motion carried unanimously.
Adoption of CUSAP Report: A motion was made by JoAnn Cowan to adopt the Consolidated Utah Achievement Plan (CUSAP) as presented. Perry Taylor seconded the motion; motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Human Sexuality
Curriculum: A motion was made by Perry Taylor to approve
the Human Sexuality Curriculum as presented for use in the
Discussion on Board Budget Priorities: A discussion was held giving direction for District Administration to begin building the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Employee Bonus: A motion was made by Scott Ruppe, seconded by Shane Frost, carrying unanimously, approving payment of a bonus in the net amount of $125.00 to contract employees working 20 hours or more per week. Non-contract employees working at least 40 hours during the month of October, and up to 78 hours per month, will receive a net amount of $75.00. The Business Office will determine when the bonus will be paid, which will be before payday in December. The bonus will be a separate payroll run and paid through direct deposit.

2009: A motion was made by Scott Ruppe that
Discussion on State Education Reform: Superintendent Charlie Nelson led a discussion regarding State Education reform. According to Superintendent Nelson, the reforms previously sponsored by Governor John Huntsman are being reconsidered.
Approval of Additional Custodian: A motion was made by Scott Ruppe to approve the request to hire one additional full-time custodian for extra-curricular activities at the high school. This position will be paid from recreation funds. Shane Frost seconded the motion. Those in favor: Scott Ruppe, Shane Frost, JoAnn Cowan, and Dr. Rodney Anderson. Those opposed: Perry Taylor; motion carried
